Visit from Home

I received the best Valentine's Day gift ever this year...a visit from my parents!!!! Yes, both my mom and my dad went and got a thousand shots, began taking malaria prevention medication, and undertook the extremely long trip to come to Africa. It was so nice to see them and show them where I live and work.

Here are some of the fun things we did:

We went to a show at the Ndere Center, and they performed many traditional dances.

Even though I was ecstatic that my parents were here, I was surprised by how excited the Ugandans were that they came. When I introduced them at church, everyone let out a big cheer! That was neat to see. All in all, it was a great trip. I am very lucky to have such wonderful parents!
